After several years in high school and college of not knowing how to do my hair (I either blew it out poorly, aka there were ridges, or I straightened it with a flat iron–yikes!), I can proudly say that the current state my hair is in is the best it’s ever looked. I naturally have these beach waves, so the way it looks wavy is without doing much. I blow dry my hair maybe twice a year, so I’ve got the way I let my hair dry and the products I put in it down to a science. I wanted to share with you two of my favorite products to lock in moisture and enhance waves. On a side note, it’s really bad for your hair to wash it too often. This summer because I’ve been in and out of pools on an almost daily basis, I wet my hair in the shower more often than not, but don’t use shampoo or conditioner more than 3 times max a week. I do however still use my go-to products after I get out.
I have a couple of products I love to spray my hair with when it’s wet, to lock in moisture and control fly-aways. Oscar Blandi happens to make one of my favorites. After I get out of the shower I comb out the knots and spritz this all over.
Next and final step, I really love my Moroccan Oil. I love the smell of it and the consistency. Be sure not to use too much though. A dab will do ya. I’m partial to the Light Moroccan Oil. Pump the oil once onto your palm and rub your hands together. Then sweep your hands through the bottom 3-4 inches of your hair. Voila!
