Hair Restoration:

When I find a fabulous beauty product or two that actually works, I feel compelled to share it with you guys.  Lately my hair has been feeling a little straw-like at the ends and just not as silky as I’d like it (I am do for a trim, but regardless I still need a little pick me up).  My hairstylist Manuela from Kieran McKenna Salon in NYC swears by the Oribe Gold Lust Transformative Masque.  It’s a little pricey but a little goes a long way.  I like to use it once every week or every other week in the shower after I dampen my hair.  I then lightly coat my hair with it, especially the ends, and put it up in a clip and then in a shower cap (so the heat from the shower traps it).  After 10-15 minutes I rinse it out, and my hair has never felt silkier.  I also like to dab a little on my ends during the day too, especially if they’re feeling dry.  Just like facial masks are necessary, so is a good hair mask.

Keeping with the hair care topic, it’s good to change brands of your shampoo and conditioner every few months or so.  I’ve been using the same one for a while now and switched recently to the RG Collagen line for my shampoo.  The collagen in it strengthens, thickens and revitalizes hair.  My split ends seem less and my hair generally feels healthier.

I’d love to hear your feedback if you invest in either or both of these products! xo
